Styling-wise, the new BRZ looks like a dramatic departure from the current model, with redesigned headlights and taillights and a more sculpted body. Subaru hasn't announced any technical details yet, but rumors suggest the new BRZ will be powered by a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated boxer-four producing 217 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque.
This would be a welcome boost over the current model, but other reports have suggested it will use the same turbocharged 2.4-liter engine as the Outback, Ascent, and Legacy producing 260 hp and 277 lb-ft. We'll find out the facts soon when the new Subaru BRZ debuts next week.
