GET LUCKY – Deadline is midnight tonight to have a chance at a prize in Chillin’ and Grillin’, billed as Western New York’s first virtual meat and vegetable raffle.
There will be 100 winners when Arty from Arty’s Party starts spinning the wheel on Facebook at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Prizes include a variety of meats from Pellicano’s Marketplace, as well as fresh corn, tomatoes and squash. A $50 fee covers entry into all the drawings.
For an additional $10 ticket, or three for $20, there’s a separate grand prize raffle for a 55-inch smart TV or a five cubic-foot freezer full of meat. Proceeds benefit the Community Action Organization of Western New York
Numbers will be randomly generated and sent via email. Prizes can be picked up next Saturday at Pellicano’s, 3338 Niagara Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda. For details, visit chillinandgrillin.org.
NOT HAPPENING – Postponed until next spring because of the pandemic is the Niagara County Community College Foundation’s 30th annual Scholarship Gala Oct. 17 at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute. No new date has been set.
OPEN AGAIN – Independent Living Centers in Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Batavia have reopened on a limited basis to help people with disabilities. Assistance is by appointment only and health precautions must be taken.
