HENDERSON, Ky. — Authorities responded to a parking lot this week where a man was slumped over the wheel of a running vehicle.
The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday when city police were dispatched to the parking lot near Henderson's Pets in the 1500 block of South Green Street.
A man, later identified as 35-year-old David Snodgrass, address unavailable, was located behind the wheel of a 2008 Mazda.
Henderson police said it was suspected that Snodgrass was under the influence.
As officers tried to take him into custody, Snodgrass "resisted arrest, was very belligerent, yelling and screaming," HPD Assistant Chief Sean McKinney said.

He was also allegedly found with a quantity of methamphetamine and with an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
Once in custody, Snodgrass was charged with driving under the influence (third offense), resisting arrest, third-degree terroristic threatening, second-degree disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.
He was lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center.
