FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Specialty tire and wheel maker Carlstar Group L.L.C. has released a one-piece aluminum wheel, the Black Rock-brand Series 965B Invasion, in time for the muddy start of off-road season.
The new matte-black wheels are designed to fit off-road vehicles with sizes offered in 17x9 and 20x9 inches.
"Black Rock introduces two new wheel styles to the off-road world, targeting both Jeep and light truck owners interested in enhancing style and function along the rugged road," Steve Swanson, national sales manager for styled wheels at Carlstar, said.
The 965B Invasion wheel has a one-piece cast aluminum construction and a load rating range of 2,000 to 2,250 pounds.
The Black Rock Wheel Collection is a "function-forward line" of steel and aluminum styles for the aftermarket truck, SUV and Jeep enthusiast market, the company said.
Franklin-based Carlstar is a global supplier of specialty tires and wheels serving the agricultural, industrial, lawn and garden, and powersports markets. The company's brands include Carlisle tires and wheels; ITP tires and wheels; Cragar, Black Rock and Unique wheels; and Marastar manual tires.
Carlstar, which employs more than 3,400 people at 17 facilities in four countries, is considered the 48th largest tire company in the world, according to Tire Business' 2020 Global Tire Report rankings, with estimated tire-related sales of $495 million in 2019.
