RCMP are seeking information and suspects after two vehicles were vandalized in the parking lot of a Nanaimo, B.C. stadium.
The driver of a 2008 Dodge Caliber felt a strong vibration and stopped the car just in time to see his wheel roll off of the side of the road.
The Kelowna Daily Courier reports the teenager alerted his friends, one of whom was returning to their truck and discovered their nuts had been tampered with as well.
More than just a petty nuisance, a lost wheel can lead to a fatal loss of control, rollover, or collision with another vehicle. “These were extremely dangerous and malicious acts of vandalism that could have had tragic consequences,” a police spokesperson said.
RCMP wishes to speak with anyone else who may have experienced similar but unreported vandalism.
