Pat Sajak had a rare "oops!" moment on a recent episode of Wheel of Fortune, and fans couldn't stop chuckling about it.
The fluke happened after a contestant spun the giant wheel during a bonus round last Friday. Instead of waiting until the end of the segment to see if the contestant had earned the prize, Pat went ahead and tore the grand prize envelope open right in the beginning. Immediately catching his mistake, Pat started chuckling to himself.
"Oh, I already looked at it. I'm not sure, I'm not sure why I did that," Pat said while looking into the camera. "I know what she's playing for and you don't!"
As if the minor flub wasn't hilarious enough already, ironically the category of the round happened to be "What Are You Doing?"

Later on, Pat's cohost Vanna White brought up the blunder again.
"I don’t think you’ve ever done that," she said to her costar, who started on Wheel of Fortune in 1981.
"There’s a first time for every mistake," Pat cleverly quipped. "Even I’m not perfect. I know that’s shocking news."
Of course, Wheel of Fortune fans couldn't help but poke fun at Pat's minor gaffe. "He's new....," one fan joked in the comments section of a YouTube clip capturing the moment. "I legit laughed out loud when I saw this on TV earlier. lol. Pat is one funny guy," another declared. "Come on Pat be patient next time the player hasn’t solve a puzzle yet Haha!!😂😂" a different fan wrote.
Looks like the game show host had a case of the Mondays ... on a Friday. Oh well, it happens to the best of us. Onward and upward!
