Sara Callori, of Redlands, will be a contestant on "Wheel of Fortune" Wednesday, Oct. 28.
The television show airs 7:30 p.m. on KABC (ABC 7).
Callori, an associate professor of physics at Cal State San Bernardino, grew up watching "Wheel of Fortune" with her grandmother and has continued watching the game show, according to a news release.
She is married and has a son. Her hobbies include recreational pole dancing, reading and traveling.
Callori applied to be a contestant online with a video submission and participated in a virtual audition.
To submit an application to be a "Wheel of Fortune" contestant, go to www.wheeloffortune.com/join/be-a-contestant.
Those who are selected to be on the show go home with a minimum of $1,000, according to the news release.
