PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio
Drunken driving, Pearl Road: On Sept. 5, police observed a vehicle parked on the sidewalk near a Pearl Road gas station.
The woman driver was sleeping behind the wheel. The Cleveland driver’s two young children were in the backseat.
After failing a field sobriety test, the woman was arrested for drunken driving. She was also charged with child endangering.
The officer did allow the mother to contact a responsible adult to take custody of the children.
Drunken driving, Pearl Road: On Sept. 5, police were dispatched to a Pearl Road location regarding a disturbing-the-peace complaint.
An arriving officer located a driver, who smelled like booze. After failing a field sobriety test, she was arrested for drunken driving.
As for the complaint, three underage women -- including the driver -- were cited for underage possession of liquor, drug abuse and disturbing the peace.
Fleeing, Pearl Road: On Aug. 28, police observed a GMC Denali make an improper turn on Pearl Road.
When the officer attempted to pull over the GMC, it took off. Eventually a driver bailed from the Denali.
However, the officer gave foot chase and apprehended the Cleveland resident, who was arrested for fleeing. The man was also cited for improper turn.
Theft, Hamden Road: On Aug. 28, police were dispatched to a Hamden Road residence after a homeowner discovered someone removed a political sign from their front yard.
There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
Animal cruelty, Alexandria Drive: On Aug. 29, police were dispatched to an Alexandria Drive home due to the report of someone illegally trapping a raccoon.
Animal control is investigating.
